In this series of photos taken yesterday, the live fish carrier Ronja is in for refit, propeller shafts and bow thruster are off and in for servicing it appears.
The Digby Neck and Islands spare ferry Spray has been hauled up on slip 5, refit and maintenance being carried out. There was news that ferry service on the Freeport-Westport run was disrupted last week for approximately 16 hours while that ferry had mechanical problems.
A barge from the aquaculture industry (perhaps a Cooke barge, but not certain) on the slip in behind the steel (big shop). Inside the steel shop, a new Halifax-Woodside ferry is being built and now has a name: Christopher Stannix. Hopefully I'll be able to see the new ferry before she heads out on a deadline of April 1st.
The herring seiner Margaret Elizabeth No. 1 is still undergoing maintenance
Lady Erin II alongside the opposite wharf
Seamans Toy 1 alongside the wharf
The Petit Passage (East Ferry-Tiverton) ferry Petit Princess alongside the wharf with her forward Z-drive propulsion system off.
