And now, the sequel to yesterday's blog, featuring vessels that were on W Network's Undercover Boss Canada last week.  I finally had a break in the weather this evening to bring you these pictures.  Starting off with the Aqua Leader, during filming, the ship was in Newfoundland and this is where we get a glimpse into a marine mechanic's career at Cooke's.  She is currently on slip 1 at AF Theriault and sons for a little sprucing up.

The Quoddy Runner was also featured in this episode.  (her twin R Max was not visible, perhaps she was at the salt water pens while awaiting her sister ship to come back).  It's here we find a safety issue discussed in the episode: No railings on the top of the feed storage area (where the two man holes are).  Currently, I'm glad to report R Max has some new railings and Quoddy Runner will most likely be getting some as well.  Recently, the Quoddy Runner sank (Article from the Digby Courier).  Fortunately, divers plugged all the holes in her preventing environmental damage.  She was then raised and has been on slip 5 at AF Theriault and sons.

Lastly, one ship not related to Cooke's was featured in the parting shot.  In back of the Atlantic Mist ( boat in light blue) and Final Venture (boat in red) is Comeau Seafoods' scallop dragger Lady Lisa II.  Comeau's had her laid up there since this spring.   Despite being the youngest boat in the Comeau scallop fleet (built in 1980), rumor has it she burns more fuel than her older fleet mates and perhaps one of the reasons for her to be laid up all summer.

Fundy Navigator was also featured on the show, however, she was nowhere to be found.

All pictures taken on October 1, 2012, three days after the premiere of the episode of Undercover Boss Canada featuring Cooke Aquaculture
