The dredge D6 last Friday in Saulnierville at low tide. Here, the clamshell bucket is touching bottom.
It appears that according to Marine Traffic, the Atlantic Tamarack was heading back to Saint John this week a few times. The rest of the Harbour Development equipment (including D6, HD-8, and HD-9) are now gone as well. Rumor has it the sediment is too hard for the clam bucket on D6 and a much more powerful bucket (or dredge) is needed for the job. In other dredging news, the tug Swell Master and dredge Crane Master were in Saint John yesterday evening according to Marine Traffic, but not there this morning, could they be heading this way? We'll find out more hopefully soon. UPDATE 11:30 AM the Swell Master and Crane Master still in Saint John at this time. No official word if dredging in Saulnierville is temporarily stopped or finished.
